Our Strategies

Mid & Small & Special Situations Portfolio

Overview

The Mid & Small & Special Situations Portfolio (SMSSP) is focused on identifying quality businesses in the small and midcap space that are either going through temporary solvable problems or are going through material transformation, which could lead to significant value creation. It aims to provide liquidity rather than seek liquidity and has a long-term value focus with an investment horizon of 60 months.

Investment Strategy

The SMSSP is focused on constructing a concentrated portfolio by making sizable investments majorly in high quality mid and small cap businesses with minimum business, balance sheet and valuation risks. The strategy has a deep value focus as it looks for companies that are going through a temporary headwind and thus are available at attractive valuation.

The strategy holds fewer stocks than any other scheme (between 5 and 15) and therefore embodies a private equity style investment mindset when approaching the public markets.
